Help us raise funds for local charities in 2011!

Join us for our 21 Days of Christmas Charity Drive...
 
Play Golf - $10 from every green fee December 1st to 21st will go to the fund.
 
Bring a Toy - We will be collecting unwrapped toys until December 19th
  • Toys dropped off before November 30th will go to the Pan Pacific Christmas Wish Breakfast.
  • Toys dropped off after November 30th will go to the Salvation Army new toy drive.
This year marks the 11th anniversary of the UGC Charity Fund with almost $70,000 given to local and children's charities to date. Each year the committee made up of managers and staff of the golf club determine where the money will go. With the funds raised for charities in 2010, we were able to support and provide necessities for the young and old during the winter season. The money raised in 2010 went to the following:
 
Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau & Downtown Vancouver Salvation Army- $1000. The Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau serves as a warehouse for Christmas gifts where it gathers, sorts, stores, and ships the gifts to 12 other Christmas Bureau locations. Donate today and help give children the Christmas they deserve.
 
BC Food Bank Winter Campaign- $2500. Families are struggling to support and care for their loved ones. Especially in the winter time when the weather puts a great deal of stress on these families. The BC Food Bank collects food donations that help over 25,000 people/ families. Help these families by donating what food you can.
 
Kids Up Front- $2500. Kids Up Front provides children with the chance to have access to culture, arts, sports and recreation when they would not have otherwise had the opportunity. Giving kids the chance to take part in these everyday activities helps to have them grow as individuals. Please donate to help these children grow and learn.
 
UGC Kids- $2500. This inner-city youth golf program helps children take part in sport. They learn about the game and about proper manners both on and off the course. They learn fundamentals about the game which aid in the development of these growing kids. Donate today to keep the game and the kids growing. 
 
Are you involved in a charity and looking for prizes?  UGC offers a prize package with a $400 value for purchase by charities at a cost of only $200. Only 15 packages are sold per year; one per charity. All of the funds collected from this program go to the UGC Charity Fund.

University Golf Club does it's part in helping better the community through the donation to charities. With every dollar raised during the collection period, someone's life is getting better. These simple donations from you are helping us at UGC support local charities in our community.
