UGC Charity Fund

University Golf Club does it's part in helping better the community through the donation to charities. With every dollar raised during our annual collection periods, someone's life is getting better. The UGC Charity Fund has been raising funds for 13 years and has donated to many local charities including: Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau, Downtown Vancouver Salvation Army, BC Food Bank, Kids Up Front and many more. Each year a committee made up of managers and staff of the golf club determine where the money will go.

Our annual 21 Days of Christmas Charity Drive is on now! From December 1st to 21st, 2012 - $10 from every paid green fee will go towards the Charity Fund. We are also collecting unwrapped toys for the Vancouver Christmas Bureau and non-perishable food items for the Vancouver Food Bank until December 19th. Drop by UGC for a game of golf or bring a toy to support the 2012 charity drive!

In addition to assisting outside charities UGC supports the UGC Junior Golf Society. In partnership with KIDSAFE the Society provides inner-city elementary school children with an introduction to the game of golf and helps kids take part in sport. The youth learn about the game and about proper manners both on and off the course. The children are provided the facilities, equipment, instruction and refreshments in a relaxed and supervised environment by UGC and the volunteers of the UGC Junior Golf Society.
